More band camp information!

The Percussion and Color Guards sections have been hard at work preparing for the first day of full band camp, which is fast approaching! (Starting Monday, August 7, from 8am - 4pm)

For full band camp, students should have the following with them:

--instrument/equipment --music (from music camp in May) --water cooler (at least a 1-gallon size so that student can refill and stay hydrated...Student should fill the cooler before arriving to camp each day) --sunscreen --bug spray --hat --light-colored, comfortable clothing to march in (guidelines for appropriate clothing are listed in the Marching Band Handbook)

--cloth/rag (used to stay cool in the heat)

All Marching Band forms need to be turned in by the beginning of camp on Monday.

Lunch will be served at school for each day of band camp; however, students should have a healthy breakfast before coming to school so that they are ready to participate.

During band camp week, students will be fitted for their marching band full uniform (jacket and bibbers). Our Pecknel Representative will be stopping by Wednesday to size and take marching shoes orders. Please see the Uniform section of the Handbook for more information.

 

Calling Band Parents!

Please remember to drop off your donation of packs of water bottles and crackers in the band room before/after band camp each day! Water bottles and crackers are crucial for the students to stay energized and hydrated at football games.
